The Master of Divinity is a three year program. The first year is earned by completing either the Master of Ministry or Master of Missiology degree.  The Master of Divinity preceeds the Doctor of Ministry and is currently available on campus only.

BI 652 Apologetics (3 Credits)

Designed to prepare the believer to defend, justify, and confirm the claims of Biblical Christianity.  Emphasis is placed upon the means and materials by which Christians can answer the most common arguments against Christianity. 

BL 508 Greek Exegesis I (3 Credits)
Introduction to the uses of key lexical and linguistic study aids.  Emphasis is given to the identification of forms and therefore to the translation the Greek New Testament with confidence and proficiency. (Prerequisite:  One year of New Testament Greek) 

BL 509 Greek Exegesis II (3 Credits)
Detailed study of syntax and continued development of the student’s vocabulary.  The students will learn techniques for proper exegesis. (Prerequisite:  BL 609 Greek Exegesis I)

BL 619 Biblical Word Studies (3 Credits)
An advanced analysis of the study of biblical words including discussion on various approaches to language study and their philosophy. (Prerequisite: BL 509 Greek Exegesis I, BL 645 Hebrew I)

BI 661 Biblical Metaphors (3 Credits)
A systematic study of the figures of speech used in Scripture, primarily metaphors, to better understand the mind of God, the means by which the Bible communicates, the effects of figures on the interpretation of Scripture, the abuses made by cultic groups on biblical figures, and how figures are used in prophecy and typology.

BL 645 Hebrew I (3 Credits)
Introduction to the fundamental grammatical features of the Classical Hebrew language of the Old Testament producing a working knowledge of the noun and adjective for nominals and both regular and irregular verbs of the perfect and imperfect.  Emphasis is given to the use of tools in studying morphology and vocabulary of Bible terms, correlating to New Testament vocabulary and concepts.

CM 641 Biblical Counseling (3 Credits)
A study of the proper way to administer the wisdom of the Word to difficult situations that affect the life of a believer, with biblical warnings against improper approaches.

CM 671 New Testament Church Pioneers (3 Credits)

HI 640 Middle Eastern History and Geography (3 Credits)
An overview of the history and geography of the during the inter-biblical and New Testament periods.  Emphasis will be given to the culture, customs, and political foundations of that region and periods.

HI 671 Church History (3 Credits)
An overview of the history of Christianity from Apostolic times to the present.  Details include treatment of leaders, theological development, church-state conflict, martyrology, revivalism, and religious controversy. 

PM 600 Leadership (3 Credits)
Credit is earned through enrollment and attendance each semester in the Seminary Colloquium.

TH 601 Theological Studies (3 Credits)
A survey of systematic, biblical and historical theology.

TH 610 Bibliology and Theology (3 Credits)
A systematic study of the Bible and of God. Emphasis is placed on understanding the revelation of these in Scripture, how they affect Christian living, and on the issues that have arisen regarding them.

TH 612 Christology and Pneumatology (3 Credits)
A systematic study of Christ and of the Holy Spirit. Emphasis is placed on understanding the revelation of these in Scripture, how they affect Christian living, and on the issues that have arisen regarding them.

TH 614 Anthropology, Hamartiology, and Soteriology (3 Credits)
A systematic study of man, sin and salvation. Emphasis is placed on understanding the revelation of these in Scripture, how they affect Christian living, and on the issues that have arisen regarding them.

TH 617 Ecclesiology, Angelology, and Eschatology (3 Credits)
A systematic study of the church, angels and the end times. Emphasis is placed on understanding the revelation of these in Scripture, how they affect Christian living, and on the issues that have arisen regarding them.

TH 650 Historical Theology (3 Credits)
A study of the origin and progress of doctrine through the history of the Christian Church from the Apostolic period to the present.  Men, movements, events, and denominations and their influence on doctrinal development will be examined.

TH 680 Theological Issues (3 Credits)
A study of some of the greatest theological issues that the church has encountered throughout the centuries, how they have been presented and denounced, the personalities involved, and how these issues communicate the need to uphold truth and avoid error.
